Privacy Policy

Introduction
Egypt Adventure is an offline travel companion and reference guide to Ancient Egypt — twenty legendary wonders, a day-by-day expedition planner, a codex of gods and pharaohs, and a hieroglyph workshop that all live comfortably in your pocket without a network connection. This Privacy Policy describes how Egypt Adventure developed by Bhojal Mobile Apps ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Egypt Adventure mobile application (the "App", bundle ID com.egypt0013.adventures) on Android and iOS, and its companion website at egypt0013.com. The App is a travel guide — it is not a gambling product, it does not process real-money transactions, and it contains no in-app purchases.
Information Collection
The App is built to be quiet about your data. When you open it for the first time it generates a random anonymous identifier for itself, it checks your device's language so the right content appears, and — because the App is free to install and we need to understand which marketing efforts actually reach travelers — it shares a mobile advertising identifier with our attribution partner. Everything else you create (itineraries, expenses, notes, diary photos, favorites, cartouches) stays on your device.
Automatically Collected Information
- Anonymous App Identifier. On the first launch the App generates a random, non-personal identifier and stores it on your device. It is not tied to your name, email, phone number, or any account; it simply lets us distinguish one installation from another in aggregate metrics.
- Device Language and Region. The App reads your device's language setting so it can display catalog text, dates, and numbers in the format you expect.
- Mobile Advertising Identifier. The App reads the advertising identifier provided by your device — the Google Advertising ID on Android, and the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS when you have granted tracking permission through the App Tracking Transparency prompt described below. This identifier is user-resettable in your device settings and is used only for install attribution and campaign measurement, as described in the next section.
Install Attribution
The App uses AppsFlyer to understand how travelers discover Egypt Adventure. When the App first launches, AppsFlyer receives:
- Your mobile advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android, or the Identifier for Advertisers on iOS when permitted via the App Tracking Transparency prompt)
- An AppsFlyer-generated installation identifier
- Install attribution data — whether your install came from a specific advertising campaign, a referral, or organic discovery
- The App's anonymous identifier described above
AppsFlyer also collects standard device data (IP address, device model, operating system version) as part of its ordinary operation. We use this information only in aggregate — to measure which campaigns are effective, not to build a profile of you. AppsFlyer's own practices are described in its privacy policy: https://www.appsflyer.com/legal/privacy-policy/.
App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
On iOS 14.5 and later, Apple requires apps to ask for your permission before tracking you across apps or websites owned by other companies. The first time you launch the App on an iOS device you will see a system prompt titled "Allow Egypt Adventure to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites?" with two options: Ask App Not to Track or Allow.
- If you tap Allow, the App and AppsFlyer receive your device's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) along with the attribution data described above.
- If you tap Ask App Not to Track, the App does not receive the IDFA; attribution measurement is performed using Apple's privacy-preserving mechanisms (SKAdNetwork) where available, and no cross-app identifier is collected.
- You can change your choice at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or disable tracking globally for all apps in the same screen.
This prompt is presented only on iOS. On Android, advertising-identifier collection is governed by your Settings → Google → Ads preferences.
Built-in Browser
The App includes a small built-in browser used to display this Privacy Policy and the Support page directly inside the App. The built-in browser does not collect any additional data beyond what is described in "Automatically Collected Information" above. Websites loaded in the built-in browser may set cookies (including third-party cookies) and use local storage according to their own privacy practices; you can clear this data at any time by clearing the App's storage in your device settings.
Photo Diary and Cartouche Gallery
When you add a photo to your Photo Diary or save a generated cartouche to your gallery, the App asks your device to open the standard system picker or the built-in camera app. You choose whether to pick an existing photo or take a new one; the App never opens your camera on its own. The first time you do this, your device will show a permission prompt — on Android this is handled by the system photo picker (no additional permission is requested), and on iOS you may see prompts for photo library and camera access. You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.
Selected or captured images, together with any itineraries, expenses, notes, favorites, visited markers, and saved cartouches you create, are stored exclusively in the App's private storage on your device. This content is never uploaded, never mirrored to our servers, and never analyzed by us.
Network Connections
The App is designed to work entirely offline — the wonders catalog, the codex, the hieroglyph reference, and the travel tips are all bundled with the App itself. The only network traffic the App makes is the initial privacy-acceptance and attribution exchange described above. All of this traffic is transmitted over HTTPS, so the App will not send or receive any unencrypted network data.
Support and Bug Reports
The App's Support page, displayed in the built-in browser, allows you to send us a message or report a bug. When you submit a support request you may provide:
- Your name and email address
- An optional subject line and a description of your question or the issue you encountered
- An optional file attachment — you can either take a new photo using your device's camera or choose an existing image or PDF document from your device's file picker
This information is sent only when you choose to press "Send Message". We use it solely to answer your question or resolve the issue. The App itself does not access your camera directly — photo capture for an attachment is handled entirely by your device's built-in camera app through the system file picker.
How We Use Information
We use the information described above to operate the App and display content correctly on your device, to measure (in aggregate) how travelers find Egypt Adventure and which marketing campaigns are effective, to understand general usage patterns such as how many travelers are active in a given language or region (without identifying you personally), to respond to support messages you send us, and to diagnose crashes and defects so we can improve reliability.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising outside of install attribution, and we do not build advertising profiles of our users.
Information Sharing
We share the narrow pieces of information described above with the following service providers, each of which operates under its own privacy policy:
- AppsFlyer — AppsFlyer Ltd. Our install-attribution partner, as described in "Install Attribution" above. https://www.appsflyer.com/legal/privacy-policy/
- Google — advertising-identifier platform on Android. Google Play Services manages the Google Advertising ID and provides the controls used to reset it or opt out of personalized ads. https://policies.google.com/privacy · https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Apple — advertising-identifier platform on iOS. Your iOS device manages the Identifier for Advertisers and the App Tracking Transparency permission. https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
We do not sell or rent your information to other parties, and we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party websites linked from the App.
Data Retention
Your on-device data — the anonymous App identifier, your itineraries, diary photos, favorites, cartouches, and notes — persists on your device until you clear the App's storage or uninstall the App. We retain support-message correspondence only for as long as needed to resolve your request and, where applicable, to meet legal obligations. Attribution identifiers are retained by AppsFlyer and by your device's operating system in accordance with their own retention policies; you can reset the mobile advertising identifier at any time in Android Settings → Google → Ads or in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising. You may also request deletion of any support-message records you have sent us by contacting us using the details below.
Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to the information handled by the App. All network traffic from the App is transmitted over HTTPS, encrypted in transit. Support messages are delivered to us through the contact form on our website over an encrypted connection. The App's local storage on your device is protected by the operating system's standard application sandbox. No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed fully secure, so while we take precautions seriously, we cannot promise absolute security.
Your Rights and Choices
You are in control of the small amount of information the App uses. At any time you can:
- Reset your advertising identifier or opt out of personalized advertising — on Android in Settings → Google → Ads, on iOS in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
- Revoke or change tracking permission on iOS in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Revoke other permissions granted to the App — on Android in Settings → Apps → Egypt Adventure → Permissions, on iOS in Settings → Privacy & Security (for Photos, Camera, etc.).
- Clear or remove your data. Your itineraries, diary photos, favorites, and cartouches live only on your device — clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App permanently removes them.
- Withdraw your privacy consent. You accepted this Privacy Policy on first launch; uninstalling the App revokes that consent.
- Exercise data-protection rights under laws that apply to you (for example, GDPR rights of access, correction, portability, and erasure, or CCPA rights to know, to delete, and to opt out of sale — we do not sell personal information). Contact us using the details below and we will respond within the timeframe the law requires.
Children's Privacy
Egypt Adventure is intended for travelers aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, to reflect a new feature or a change in how an attribution partner operates. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision, and material changes will be highlighted when you next open the App. Continued use of the App after the effective date of the changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
